CYNTHIA DAWN DUNCAN, age 43, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

She was born on July 23, 1979 in Fayette County to Darrell Thomas and Cynthia Joan (Leach) Gardner. She was a 1997 graduate of Washington High School where she was also a Cheerleader. Dawn was currently employed as a cashier at One Stop 22. She enjoyed Jeep Jam, playing softball, working in her flowers, and spending time with her family.

Dawn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerry and Phyllis O'Conner, and special friend, Chad Moore.

Survivors include her parents, Darrell and Cindy Gardner; her husband, Tony Wayne Duncan, whom she married on January 1, 2017; children, Skyler (Courtney) Gilpen, Jerrell Gilpen, Shawn Duncan, and Natasha Duncan; siblings, DJ Bennington, Krista Gardner, Dondi (Rick) Gardner, Doriell (Pete) Gardner; and special nieces, Bell, Leah, and Lexi. Also surviving are several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the Summers Funeral Home from 11-1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Summers Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
