DALE MAJOR, age 72, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 6:35 a.m. surrounded by his caring family.
He was born on February 13, 1942 in Lewisburg, Ohio to Dale P. and Lorene Barnett Major. He was graduate of Preble-Shawnee High School and received his Bachelor's Degree from Miami University of Oxford. He worked in maintenance at YNOT Farms in Madison County. Dale was a perfectionist. He enjoyed trap shooting, traveling, golfing and spending time with his family.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Connie Jean Cash Major and his son, Shawn Major.
Survivors include his children Kyle (Anita) Major, Scott (Heather) Major, Tad Major and Amy Jo (Greg) Mason; grandchildren David and Matthew Mason, Brendan Major, Patsy Wilson and Bridgette Leslie; great-grandchildren Ethen Wilson and Aiden Woodberry; siblings Dixie Graham, Jolene (Willie) Allen, Penny Major and Randy (Sue) Major as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and special caregiver and friend, Martha Mallow.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
