DANNY BRICKLES, age 70, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 4:33 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel West Hospital. He was born on April 26, 1944 in Washington CH to Max and Hazel Starkey Brickles. He had retired from the Madison Correctional Institute and had previously worked at Community Markets. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was a 1961 Washington High School graduate, a life member of the VFW Post 3762, a life member of the Eagles 423 and the American Legion Post 25. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Survivors include his children Danny and Tina; brother Charles Brickles and special friend, Judy Ward. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW Post 3762 on Veteran's Way in addition to an Eagle's Service. Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
