DANIEL LEE "DAN" RIGGS, age 69, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 12:21 a.m. His death was sudden and unexpected.

Dan was born on June 22, 1952 in Colliers, West Virginia to Hobart "Geral" and Laura Mae (Hiley) Riggs. He was a 1971 graduate of Brooke High School and a 1975 graduate of West Liberty University where he double majored in chemistry and physics. Dan retired from Fayette County Memorial Hospital where he worked as a Respiratory Therapist for several years. He enjoyed "tinkering" with anything and everything, fishing, and was an avid reader.

Dan is preceded in death by his father, Geral Riggs.

Survivors include his mother, Laura Riggs; his companion, Dee Sharon; daughter, Ashley (Danny) Riggs-White; stepchildren, Tony (Lori) Osborne, Scott Osborne, Jeremiah Cook, and Jared Nebbergall; grandson, Sebastian; step grandchildren, Bradleigh, Charleigh, Jenny, and Jaren; and siblings, Diana (Rick) Stoaks, Tim (Sandy) Riggs, Valerie Wells, and Rodney Riggs. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the Summers Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m.
