DANIEL C. "DANNY" METZ, age 54, of Greenfield passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 4:48 a.m. at the Four Seasons of Washington CH Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born on June 8, 1961 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Charles and Kathleen Sheets Metz. He had worked in small engine repair at Pennington's in New Martinsburg and also was a volunteer fireman for many years with the Lynchburg Fire Department. Danny enjoyed cooking, gardening, Nascar and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, his father-in-law Jim "Pops" Jones and his canine companion, Gunner. Danny is survived by his wife, Dianna Jones Metz, whom he married on May 15, 1999; his children Andrea (Harry) Moore and Aaron (Robin) Moore; grandchildren Emily, Callee and Lilly; siblings Maryellen (Richard) Cook, Linda (Roger) Roever, John (Lori) Metz and Glenn Metz as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating.
