DANNY D. LANKFORD, age 75, of Washington Court House, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 3:16 AM, in his residence.

Born on February 5, 1951, in Monroe Township, Madison County, Ohio, Danny was a son of Robert Lankford and Evelyn (Cutlip) Lankford.

Danny was a hardworking man with a humble spirit who dedicated his life to the land. He spent his lifetime farming, where he tended to the fields with his strong work ethic and deep respect for the simple things in life. In addition to farming, he was a dedicated employee at Stephens Steel & Pipe LLC in Mount Sterling, Ohio, where his drive and dependability left a lasting impression on all who worked alongside him.

Outside of work, Danny found his greatest joy in the quiet companionship of his beloved dog, Aby Girl. The two were inseparable – whether taking long, peaceful walks together or cruising down local backroads with Aby Girl proudly riding shotgun in his truck.

Danny is survived by his brother William “Bill” Lankford and sister Pamela Kline; his former wife and special friend Lana Lankford; several nieces and nephews, including his special niece Anessia and her three children Aurora, Grayson, and Jameson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Evelyn, in addition to his siblings: Ernest Lankford, Roger Lankford, Judy Gribble, Beverly Shaw, Carol Tarbill, Debbie Landford, Robert Lankford, and Phylis Jean Voll.

Cremation will take place in accordance with Danny’s wishes. Public services will not be observed.
