DARL RICHARD HARDY, age 90, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at his home.

He was born on July 12, 1933 in Hocking County, Ohio to the late Robert and Olive (Gilbert) Hardy. He was a graduate of Carbon Hill High School. Darl proudly served his country in the US Army and received his Honorable Discharge. Darl had worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company and AT&T for most of his adult career life. He enjoyed working and he loved interacting with his customers, woodworking and building, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Darl was preceded in death by his sister, Roberta Forquer.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Norma Lee (Jewett) Hardy, whom he married on March 31, 1956; his sons, Donald (Linda) Godenschwager, Jim Hardy, and John (Pam) Hardy; grandchildren, Donald Lee III (Sara) Godenschwager, Erika Godenschwager, Elizabeth (Eric) Deis, and Amanda (John) Brookhuis; great-grandchildren, Lydia (Jake), Landon, Connor, Wyatt, Carter, and Arjen; one great-great granddaughter who will make her arrival in a few short weeks; and his brother, William "Bill" Hardy. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Washington Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
