DARRELL E. LEISURE SR., age 82, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11:39 p.m. at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. He was born on April 21, 1933 in Washington CH to Ora and Margaret Lansing Leisure. He worked as a machinist for over 42 years at Mead Container. He enjoyed working and was a member of the morning coffee group at McDonalds. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Maudell Leisure, daughter Leora Johnson, one grandson, three brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Caplinger Leisure, his children Sue Templin and (Ray Ferguson), Jeannie (Danny) Alspaugh, Darrell Jr. (Sarah) Leisure, Gary (Jeanie) Leisure and Mike (Tina) Leisure; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Beverly) Leisure and sister, Lula Rhoades. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery.
