DAVID LEE BROWN, age 81, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 after a brief stay at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on October 28, 1942 in Montgomery County to the late Samuel and Zelma (Bowles) Brown. He attended the Roosevelt High School in Dayton, Ohio. David retired from Ferno-Washington, Inc. in Wilmington, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars and lawn mowers, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his son, Billy Ray Brown; great-grandson, James Robert Alan Bailey or "Baby James"; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Edna Smith; son-in-law, Chuck Harner; siblings, Gerald Brown, Harold Brown, and Virginia Wood; and brothers-in-law, Ray Walter, Jack Strickland, and Bradley Wood.

Survivors include his loving wife, Loretta Jane (Smith) Brown, whom he married on October 23, 1964; his children, Jennifer (Alan) Bailey, Angela Harner, David II (Angie) Brown, Eric Brown, and Amanda Brown; twenty grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and four great-great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Judy Walters, Sylvia Strickland, and Donald Brown. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at the White Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor Don Olley officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Summers Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 11-12:00 p.m.
