Obituary

DAVID CLYDE COOK, age 73, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026 at the Adena Fayette Medical Center.

He was born on June 24, 1952 in Washington CH to the late Frank Jacob and Kathryn Mae (Satchell) Cook. He was a 1970 graduate of Miami Trace High School and a 1972 graduate of the Columbus Technical School where he received an associate’s degree in electrical engineering. David was last employed at Crop Production Services in Mount Sterling where he worked as a repack facility operator. He earned his 50-year Freemason award, he was a past president of the Washington CH Schriner’s Club, a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge #129, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #423. After retirement, he enjoyed working on different farms, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his friends.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his significant other of fifteen years, Ronette Geesling.

Survivors include his sisters, Patricia (Richard) Martin, and Peggy (Michael) Landrum; special cousin, Janet Boyer; and special friend, Hal Haymaker.

Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
