DAVID DWIGHT "DAVE" SHAEFFER, age 73, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2023 at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington CH.
He was born on June 24, 1950 in Pickaway County, Ohio to the late Dwight Carrol and Mary Evalyn (Hickle) Shaeffer. He was a 1968 graduate of Miami Trace High School. David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired as a semi-truck driver and was currently employed at Buckeye RV in Jeffersonville where he was working as a detailer. He enjoyed attending car shows, watching NASCAR, spending time with his family and friends, but his #1 love was his black corvette.
Survivors include his loving wife, Angela Jean (Knisley) "Angie" Shaeffer, whom he married on December 31, 2011; children, Bradley David (Janet) Shaeffer, and Jacklyn Brooke Wilson and her boyfriend, Jake Grehl; step-son, Ryan Seth Brown and his girlfriend, Amanda Havens; grandchildren, Dalton Jamison Leyes, Jessica Ann (Julian) Manning, Audrey Nicole Shaeffer and her boyfriend, Robert Garringer, Crayton Benner, Coleton (Olivia) Benner, Tyler Brown, Leeah Brown, Mallory Brown, Emmalee Brown, Charlee Wilson, Cayden Wilson, Brileigh Pierce, Brayden Pierce, Brianna Shelton, and Freddie Marcum, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Scarlette, Magnolia, Gilbert, and Poppi Ann; siblings, Ronald Shaeffer, and Luann (Everett) Moorman; special friends, Rob and Christina Stiffler, and Mendy Smith and her boyfriend, Lee Wiget; and his always faithful canine companion, Chloe. Also surviving are several nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
