DAVID LEE EVANS, age 69, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 9:30 p.m. at his home. He was born on July 31, 1946 in Fayette County to Marcus and Helen Shiltz Evans. He had worked as a caretaker at Brown's Chapel Cemetery in Clarksburg, Deer Creek Golf Course and Drake's Gas. He enjoyed doing painting and bodywork on cars and stock car racing. David was preceded in death by his parents, grandchild at birth, Brynli Colter, siblings Robert Evans, Sharon Kay Evans, and Helen Estle. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Jones Evans, whom he married on October 26, 1968; his daughter, Terri (Daniel) Reeb; grandchildren Ashley Evans and Joshua Atwood; great-grandchildren Zaiden and Zoey Beechler and Mason Atwood; siblings Dale Evans, Mike (Shelly) Evans, and Mary (Lester) LeMaster, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Randy Lee officiating.
