DAVID RUSSELL JENKINS, age 70, of Columbus, formerly of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 7:43 a.m. at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

He was born on January 14, 1948 in Franklin County to Donald Russell and Gloria Louise Crowe Jenkins. He was a 1965 graduate of Miami Trace High School. After high school, David attended Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas for a short time. David was self-employed as an insurance agent for most of his life. He enjoyed thoroughbred horse racing, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

David was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Charles Pierson.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Jean Pierson Jenkins, whom he married on September 4, 1971; children, John David Jenkins, and Sarah Leean Jenkins; sister, Lynn (Jeff) Withem; niece, Beth Ann (Amos) Cottrill; nephews, Scott David Withem, and Neil (Michelle) Pierson; one great-niece; five great-nephews; aunt, Virginia Crowe Dunn; sister-in-law, Charlotte Behling; niece, Nicole (Steven) Johnson; nephew, Andrew Behling; one great-niece; and one great-nephew. Also surviving are several cousins and a host of friends.

The graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at the Sabina Cemetery. In keeping with David's wishes, cremation has taken place.
