Obituary

DAVID LOGEN POLLARD, age 66, of Washington CH, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:40 p.m. at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 9, 1950 in Pickaway County to Donald Lee and Irma Lee Brooks Pollard. David was a 1969 graduate of Washington High School. He retired from Con-Way Freight after 31 years of service. David was a member of the South Side Church of Christ, the Fayette County Commission on Aging, the Anglers Club of Washington CH, and was also a lifetime member of the Metropolitan Owners Club of North America. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and being with his family and grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his parents, and mother-in-law, Mary Althouse.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Althouse Pollard, whom he married on March 6, 1969; his children, Angela (Tim) Manns, and Matthew Pollard; grandchildren, Holly Vermillion, Thomas Vermillion, and Cassidy Manns; siblings, Vivan (Rosa) Pollard, Barry (Carol) Pollard, and Delilah (Jon) Rowe; father-in-law, Ralph Althouse; and his loving canine companions, Scooter, Romeo, and Zoey. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
