DAVID ROGER RHOADS SR., age 79, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10:53 p.m. at Fayette County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on March 4, 1939 in Ross County to Ora and Thelma Cox Rhoads. David had worked as a farmer for most of his life. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed trap shooting, playing cards, and being with his family.

David was preceded in death by his parents; Rosemary Rhoads; son, David Rhoads Jr.; and siblings, Shirley Betts, James Rhoads, and Frank Rhoads.

Survivors include his children, Ora Rhoads, Rosetta (Larry Mann) Williams, Mike Rhoads , and Jeanitte Rhoads; grandchildren, Tori (Mark) Conklin, Joshua Riddell, Michael Rhoads, Marchelle Rhoads, Mika Hatfield, and Jessie (Sarah) Rhoads; siblings; Bobby Rhoads and JoAnn Davis; grandchildren; Davian Rhoads, Micheal Rhoads, Dereck Rhoads and Daniel Rhoads as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bainbridge Church of Christ in Christian Union, 216 S. Quarry St., Bainbridge, Ohio 45612, with Rev. John Taylor officiating with burial to follow at the Bainbridge Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the Summers Funeral Home on Monday evening from 4-7:00 p.m.
