DAVID LEE THOMPSON, age 70, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 9:55 p.m. at his daughter's home.

He was born on October 11, 1950 in Gallia County, Ohio to Harold and Emma Devour Thompson. David grew-up in Greenfield and had attended Greenfield McClain Schools. He was self-employed and had worked as a general contractor for many years. David was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed singing, playing his guitar, fishing, and being with his family.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and mother of his children, Charlene Jean Thompson; his second wife, Debbie Joe Thompson; and siblings, Dorothy Swanigan, Robert Thompson, Joann Robinette, and Ivan Thompson.

Survivors include his children, David (Tina) Thompson, Charles (Denise Harmon) Thompson, Crystal (Terry) Cox, and Jeanie (Harry) Armstrong; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bobby (Tonya) Thompson, Brenda Thompson, and Johnny Thompson. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at the Good Hope Cemetery with Pastor Andrew Johnson officiating. Family and friends may visit at the Summers Funeral Home on Thursday morning from 11-1:00 p.m.
