DAVID RICHARD WALLACE, age 51, of Mt. Sterling, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 1:49 a.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
He was born on October 24, 1970 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania to Richard and Linda (Wigfield) Wallace. He was a 1988 graduate of Greensburg-Salem High School. David was currently employed at The London Correctional Institution as a Correctional Officer. He attended Grace Community Church in Washington CH. David was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, papaw, and brother. He enjoyed golfing, home renovations, being with his beloved family and grandchildren, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Cassidy; his son, Bryant Wallace; nephew, Nick Taylor; and grandfather, David Wigfield.
Survivors include his wife, Raynea Wallace; children, Brittany (Cody) Casteel, Brandon (Harley) Wallace, Brady Wallace, Bryson Wallace, Braelynn Wallace, Brogan Wallace, Brodie Wallace, Jake Barton, Ryan Barton, and Kennedy Barton; grandchildren, Bronx, Jude, Everly, Aiden, Addison, and Hadlie; siblings, Judi (John) King, Tracy (Scott) Taylor, Sean Cassidy, Kevin (Donna) Cassidy, and Erin (Dale) Comanici; stepfather, Mike Cassidy; and grandmother, Hazel Wigfield. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Community Church, 525 Glenn Ave., Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor Paul Crichton officiating with burial to follow at the Madison Mills Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
