DAWNE L. HARPER, age 54, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 1:42 p.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

She was born on December 13, 1967 in Fayette County to Duane Eugene and Marma Lou (Gatton) Harper. Dawne attended Washington High School and later obtained her GED. She had worked as a bartender at The Country Connection in Washington CH. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, lottery tickets, and spending time with her family.

Dawne was preceded in death by her mother, Marma Harper; and her beloved son, Cody Brant Penwell.

Survivors include her father, Duane (Tina) Harper; children, Megan Elizabeth Wilson, and Parker Shane Penwell; grandchildren, Chloe, Kinzley, Harold, and Karter; and siblings, Mary Susan (Keith) Woolever, Stacey Karen Harper, Jason Collins, and Jarrod (Korrie) Harper. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Joy Stanforth officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
