DEBRA LYNN DEAN, age 61, of Hillsboro, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 6:54 a.m. at the Four Seasons of Washington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on October 26, 1955 in Ross County to Sherman E. Massie and Virginia Marie Johnston. Debra worked for several years at Sister's Tanning in Hillsboro. She enjoyed her customers at the salon, spending time with her family and grandchildren, country music, and line dancing.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents and special friend, Terry Maxwell.

Survivors include her children, Joey Mendenhall of Chillicothe, Amber (Bobby) Layne of Hillsboro, and Danielle (Edward) Coleman of Washington CH; grandchildren, Gavin, Kalob, Kiersten, Kyler, Kandyce, Lafe, Aniston, and Elias; special friends, Betty Dove, Joyce Thomas, and Pam Bailey; also, the love of her life, John Phillip "Phil" Dean.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Southside Church of Christ with Pastor Barry Pettit officiating. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
