DELBERT GRAYSON WEST, age 80, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his home.

He was born on May 8, 1937 in Fayette County to Leroy and Bessie Walls West. He retired from Armco after thirty-three years of service. Delbert was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Allison Malarky, one brother, three sisters, and his mother-in-law, Florence Parmenter.

Survivors include his wife, Kitty Melvin West, whom he married on June 7, 1958; his children, Laura (Randy) Aills, Mary Jo (Keith) Malarky, and Dee Ann (Scott Boyer) West; grandchildren, Cassie (Chris) Wells, Brooke (Jacob) Fox, Kristen Malarky, Taylor (Austin Braden) Dugan, and Kelsey (Adam Phillips) Dugan; and great-grandchildren, Aiyana Braden, Sloane Fox, and Macen Wells. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
