DELSA ALLEN, age 84, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 5:15 a.m. at the Four Seasons Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on November 5, 1930 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky to Thomas and Bess Castle Hicks. She had worked as a broker and real estate agent having her own business, Home Realty. She later on worked with Tri-County Realtors. She was an artist, enjoyed antiques, cooking, music, gardening and abstract painting. She won the grand prize at the Fayette County Fair. Delsa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kermit Allen, sisters Belva Dixon, Thelma Young and Myrtle Seigle. Survivors include her children, Mark Allen, Chris Allen and Curtis Allen and friend Debi; grandchildren Sam, Emily, Joshua, Evan, Nathaniel, Stephanie, Eric, Jonathan and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren Jordan, Logan and Layla; siblings Thomas Hicks, Elza Hicks, Tony Hicks, Mavis Woods, Francis Teeters and Kathy Corzatt as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Clary officiating with burial to follow at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery.
