Obituary

DIANNA KAY (DAWES) HOWE, age 70, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024 at her home with her family be her side.

She was born on December 6, 1953 in Xenia, Ohio to the late Max Eugene and Betty June (Lane) Dawes but was untimely raised by her beloved grandparents, the late Hershel and Viola Dawes. She was a 1972 graduate of Miami Trace High School. Dianna had worked for several years as a nursing assistant at Fayette County Memorial Hospital; she had also worked for Washington City School. She enjoyed sitting outside to watch the birds, taking long rides in the car, and spending time with her precious grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Dianna was preceded in death by her husband, Lucky Howe, whom she married on May 31, 1974; and half-brother, Bobby Dawes.

Survivors include her children, Crystal Crabtree, and Shane (Jennifer) Howe; grandchildren, Dylan Crabtree, Jackson Howe, and Deacon Howe; brother, Hershel Dawes; and half-sisters, Viola Dawes, and Rose Gilliland. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will no formal services held.
