DOLORES FRANCES MEYER, age 85, of Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 12:30 a.m. at the Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 25, 1929 in Columbus, OH to John W. and Hazel P. (Fridley) Hite. Dolores worked many years at Put-in-Bay in retail shops and restaurants before moving to Chillicothe where she helped care for her grandchildren. She had previously lived on Put-in-Bay, OH, New Holland, OH and Frankfort, OH. She was a member of the St. Paul Episcopal Church on Put-in-Bay. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack L. Meyer and her son, Jack Meyer Jr. Survivors include her children Bonnie (Joe) Murray of Chillicothe and Peggy (Simon) LaLonde of Denver, CO.; four grandchildren Mandy (Cameron) Way of Chillicothe, Megan (Justin) Broderick of Wahiawa, HI, Zack (Jennifer) Ater of Frankfort, OH and John Paul Ater of Williamsport, OH; three great-grandchildren, Cheyanne Ater, Shade Ater and Ashton Ater, as well as sisters Maryanne Wilhelm of Put-in-Bay, OH and Pauline IBob) Dotson of Oketo, KS. In keeping with her wishes there will be no viewing or service at this time. Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
