DONALD EUGENE "DONNIE"  BUTCHER, age 59, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield. Born on September 11, 1964 to the late Cary E. and Shelven J. Bivens Butcher.

Donnie was a 1984 graduate of Washington High School and  a member of ROTC. He had been a member of the South Side Church of Christ and had attended the Gathering Place Church and Crossroads Church, as well.

He was an avid OSU and Cincinnati Reds Fan and enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting Matchbox Cars and his John Deere Farm Set.

Survivors include his brother, Ron (Carolyn) Butcher and his sister, Kellie Butcher both of Washington C.H.;his nephews, Levi Butcher and Drew (Jazmine) Horvath, his niece, Jessica Arnett. Also surviving are his three great nieces, one great nephew and special friends, Allen Yankie, Eric Stegbauer and family, Toni Knox, Soren Whiting and Dennis and Terry Templin; and several cousins and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, Donnie is preceded in death by his infant sister, Kimberly Butcher and special aunt, Elsie Knisley.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds and Eric Stegbauer officiating with cremation to take place following the services. Burial at the Good Hope Cemetery will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
