Obituary

REV. DONALD LEE HUMBLE, age 80, of Washington CH, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Carriage Court Assisted Living. He was born on August 30, 1933 in Champaign County to Frank and Clara Mossbarger Humble. He had owned and operated Humble Heating and Cooling for over 35 years. He was an ordained minister with the Churches of Christ in Christian Union with over 50 years of service. Don had pastored the Williamsport CCCU where he was instrumental in the construction of the fellowship hall. He was a graduate of Circleville Bible College, now known as Ohio Christian University. He and his wife Miriam, enjoyed church activities and going to camp meetings. Don was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers. Survivors include his wife, Miriam VanHoose Humble, whom he married on August 19, 1950; his children Ron (Thelma) Humble of Dayton, Sue (Greg) Greer and Sherry (Randy) Turner all of Washington CH; grandchildren Donald Humble, Angelica Humble, Randi (Joey) Langley, Lee Greer and Cori Greer, Jessi, Chase and Rachel Enochs and Andrew Turner; six great-grandchildren; brother Tracy Humble as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grace Community Church with Pastor Jay Lucas, Steve Humble, Wes Humble and Dr. David VanHoose officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Fayette County, PO Box 849, Washington CH, OH 43160.
