DONALD L. 'DUCK' WALTON, age 81, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Mt. Carmel West Hospital.
He was born on October 15, 1933 in Brown County to Ernest and Anna Walton. He retired from the Fayette County Engineers office after 20 years of service. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Homer Lawson Post #653, a lifetime member of the VFW of Greenfield and Amvets in Xenia. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his son Anthony, sisters Alma Byrd, Esther Holmes and Ruby Bailey, mother and father-in-law Lowell and Eunice Smith and sister-in-law Kristi Hanna.
Survivors include his wife, Garnet Forsha Walton, whom he married on May 2, 1987; his children Robert, Donald Jr., Ernie and Michelle; step-children Linda (Jerry Brady) Forsha and Cathy (Donald Terry) Forsha; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; In-laws Connie and Karl Hall, Dennis and Heidi Smith and Rickie Hanna; special friends Lonnie and Peggy Penwell, Lawrence and Marg Greene and Paul Simmons as well as numerous relatives and countless friends.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
