DORIS ELLEN "CRICKET" EVERHART, age 74, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 9:27 a.m. at her home.

She was born on August 3, 1945 in Fayette County to Lew V. and Betty J. Connerton Shiltz. Doris had been employed at Riten Industries Incorporated in Washington CH for seventeen years. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Her son described his mother as a sweet-spirit; she loved making her nurses laugh. She enjoyed taking long car rides, listening to her sons play music, and being with her family.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Donald E. Everhart, and Daniel E. Everhart; and her brother, Carl Shiltz.

Survivors include her children, Donette E. Everhart, and Daren S. Everhart; fifteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; siblings, Steve (Daisy) Shiltz, Karen Jones, Neil (Dee) Shiltz, and Bruce (Cheryl) Shiltz. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to Summers Funeral Home to help with final expenses.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 5-6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
