DOROTHY MAE DEAN, age 92, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at her son's home. She was born on April 22, 1923 in Jeffersonville to Cameron and Nora Duncan Shiltz. She enjoyed going on short trips, cooking and spending time with her family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herman Dean, siblings Lou, Howard, Harold and Ray Shiltz, Helen Evans, Virigina Lanter and Louise Stritenberger, sister-in-law Betty Shiltz and brother-in-law Dwayne Roush. Survivors include her children Juanita Wilson, Patsy Senters, Eddie (Connie) Dean, Sue (Rick) Crawford and Donna (Dave) Knisley; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; siblings Carl (Opal) Shiltz, Georgia Roush; sisters-in-law Ada Shiltz and Cathy Shiltz and brother-in-law Orville Stritenberger as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Chaplain Jeff Davis officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery.
