DOROTHY MAE HAMILTON, age 89 of Washington Court House, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Four Seasons of Washington Court House. Born on June 2, 1932 in Adams County, she was the daughter of the late John McCarty and Amanda Grooms. In 1969 she married Lawrence Edward Hamilton who preceded her in death on January 17, 2000.

She attended school in both West Union and Leesburg, Ohio and enjoyed riding her three-wheeler bike everywhere.

Dorothy is survived by one son; Emory Hamilton of Washington Court House. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death one son; Marcus Hamilton.

In keeping with Dorothy's wishes, cremation will take place and burial of the cremains will take place at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Summers Funeral Home.
