DORTHA F. CARR, age 61, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 7:14 a.m. at Fayette County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on November 13, 1956 in Fayette County to Elmer and Thelma Martin Phillips. Dortha had worked as a waitress at several different restaurants in the area. She enjoyed working in her garden, and cooking.

Dortha was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Scott Carr; and siblings, Edna Mae Harter, Robert Phillips, Earl Phillips, and Ronnie Phillips.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph D. Carr, whom she married on June 27, 1980; her son, Chad Carr; granddaughter, Gabrielle Carr; and sister, Sharon Salts. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services and cremation has taken place.
