IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dortha Jane
(Coss) Minzler
September 9, 1949 – February 28, 2025
DORTHA JANE (COSS) MINZLER, age 75, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at her home.
She was born on September 9, 1949 in Highland County to the late Burch and Winona (Kain) Coss. She was united in marriage to her loving husband, C. Randy Minzler, on March 18, 1972, and spent most of her life in the Highland County area before moving to Jeffersonville.
Jane was a woman of immense faith and was known for her love of singing, attending church, and playing the piano. She was a cherished member of the groups Sweet Assurance and Trinity Aires, where her music touched the hearts of many.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Jane was preceded in death by her siblings, Virginia Eileen Ashworth, Virgil Paul Workman, and Robert Eugene Workman.
Jane is survived by her husband, Randy Minzler; sons, Christopher (Bethany) Minzler of Washington CH, and Joshua (Jennifer) Minzler of Leesburg; grandchildren, Chase Minzler, Addison Minzler, Zach Minzler, and Kathryn (Zachariah) Smith; great-grandchildren, Beckett, and Emery Smith; and sister, Marjorie McNeal of Waverly.
Jane was a dedicated homemaker, and as her children grew older, she found fulfillment working at the Highland District Hospital and Fayette County Memorial Hospital. Her passing marked the end of her earthly journey, but her memory and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. In her own words, Jane saw her passing as, "the last move for me." She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A huge heart-felt thanks goes to Darrin, Kris, Kellie, Amy, and the rest of the team at Ohio's Hospice of Fayette County for their support during this difficult time.
A viewing will be held on Sunday afternoon, March 9, 2025 at the Summers Funeral Home from 3-5:00 p.m. and a graveside service will take place on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends are encouraged to meet at the Summers Funeral Home on Monday morning at 10:15 a.m. prior to the graveside service.
