EDWARD RAY "EDDIE" BENNETT, age 70, of Bloomingburg, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 4:12 a.m. at the Adena Fayette Medical Center. His death was sudden and unexpected.

He was born on June 9, 1951 in Fayette County to Thurman Eugene and Reba (Mossbarger) Bennett. He was a 1969 graduate of Miami Trace High School. Eddie and his two sons owned and operated Bennett Brothers Salvage in Bloomingburg. Eddie was a long-time member of the Dragin' Angels Car Club of Fayette County. He enjoyed fishing and being with his beloved family.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, Penny Louise Bennett.

Survivors include his children, Tim (Christian) Bennett, and Wayne (Crystal Taylor) Bennett; grandchildren, Cody (Jessica) Bennett, Jackie Bennett, Henry Bennett, Austin Bennett, Elizabeth (Josh) Massie, Carrie (Branson) Leisure, Henry Taylor, Samantha (Mike) Elser, and Joseph Onions; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jane Seitz, Bill (Alice) Bennett, Jim (Kathy) Bennett, JD (Helen) Short, and Brenda (Verlon) Tyree. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of special friends.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no viewing.
