EDWIN DAVID ELL, age 77, of Washington CH, formerly of Mt. Sterling, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 1:53 p.m. at Court House Manor.

He was born on August 30, 1940 in Franklin County to Edwin "Ted" Roach and Rose Cathryn Webber Ell. David proudly served his country in the Ohio National Guard. He retired from the Abex Corporation where he worked as a hydraulic press assembler. David was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed gardening, watching Ohio State football, and being with his family and grandson.

David was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Mary Wise.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Jean Cunningham Ell, whom he married on February 13, 1971; children, Jeffrey David Ell, and Jeremy Daniel (Tasha) Ell; grandson, Nicholas Daniel Ell; and brother-in-law, Harry Wise. Also surviving are several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The private graveside service will be held at the Bloomingburg Cemetery with Danny Dodds officiating at the convenience of the family.
