ELIZABETH "JANE" SMITH, age 82, of Washington CH, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 31, 2022, while surrounded by her loving family at home.

She was born on August 27, 1939 in Fayette County to the late Sidney and Betty Jane (Bunch) Freshour. Jane was a loving and devoted wife of 65 years to William Joseph "Joe" Smith and mother to six children, Bill (Lorena) Smith, deceased; Tonda (Stephen) Busch, Rusty Smith, Rhonda Steuben, Scott (Scott) Smith, and Jodi (Jennifer) Smith; grandchildren, Amanda Smith, David Smith, Connor Busch, Bella Busch, and Eastyn Stevens-Smith; and great-grandchildren, Damian and Annabelle Smith.

Jane enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to Christian music, and spending time with her beloved family and dogs. A passionate Ohio State Buckeye fan who never missed a game. She loved the ocean and collecting light houses. Her dedication to serve and take care of others will be remembered most.

In keeping with Jane's wishes cremation has taken place and burial of cremains will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Fayette County Humane Society.
