ELMERINE JOY SNYDER, age 88, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 9:49 a.m. at her home. She was born on May 2, 1927 in Fayette County to Elmer and Irene Pierce Dodds. She was a 1945 graduate of Jeffersonville High School. She had worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, the Glove Factory of Washington CH and the old Dollar Motel at 35 and 71. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, needlepoint, cross-stitching and cooking. Elmerine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leroy Snyder, her son, Terry Snyder, sisters Barbara Secrest and Billy Dodds. She was also preceded in death by her canine companion, Baby. Survivors include her grandchildren, Rodney D. Snyder (Brenda), Chris (Mickie) Jenkins and Shannon Snyder; great-grandchildren, Jon Snyder, Devon and Heaven Jenkins; daughter-in-law, Sandi Sams; siblings, Alea Brislenn, Bob (Faye) Dodds, Ruth (Walt) Hildebrecht, Roger (Janet) Dodds, and Effie (Ralph) Kerns; brother-in-law Don (Lora Faye) Snyder and sisters-in-law Billie Taylor and Charlene Snyder. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Doug Snyder officiating with burial to follow at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery.
