ELSIE V. STRITENBERGER, age 74, of Hillsboro, formerly of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at 12:59 p.m. at the Miami Valley Hospital of Dayton. She was born on July 25, 1939 in Washington CH to Charles and Sally Aleshire Payne. She enjoyed going to yard sales, had a very giving heart and loved to help others. Even in her death, she gave the gift of life to others through retina and tissue donation. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters and step-son, Terry Stritenberger. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jim Stritenberger; daughter Debbie Davis Jenkins; step-son Mike (Mileah) Stritenberger; step-daughter Cheri Mikol; grandchildren Wendi, Valerie and Robby; five great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons; special nieces and nephews Carroll (Cathy) Smith, Darrell (Carol) Smith and John (Holly) Briley and special friend Ilene Brannigan. A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington Cemetery with Rev. Bill Bray officiating.
