EMMITT WAYNE MICK, age 83, of Washington CH, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 3:04 a.m. at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.
He was born on March 4, 1938 in Fayette County to Rodney Andrew and Flora Daisy (Everhart) Mick. Emmitt attended high school in Good Hope. He retired from Armco Steel after 29 years of service. After retirement, he and his wife opened Prime Meats & Deli in 1986. He enjoyed riding horses, being a long-time 4-H Advisor for the Blue Ribbon Champs, fishing, hunting, being with his family, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Emmitt was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Lori Bailey; and siblings, Glen Mick, Ethel Knisley, Martha Gee, Marjorie Stiffler, and Alan Mick.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Ronette Lynn (Matthews) Mick, whom he married on June 2, 1956; children, Raymond Mick, Terry (Lisa) Mick, Kellie (Justin) Rummer, Cindy Anders, Janene (Jason) Humphries, and Travis (Amy) Mick; grandchildren, Kenneth, Joshua, Isaac, Kierstan, Wayne, Jarrod, Caleb, Courtney, Cody, Jeremie (Courtney), Danielle (Nathan), Heather (Tim), Adam (Tayla), Logan, Reagan (Brandon), Dalton, Halia, Isabella, Clarence, Nikolai, Alarik, Saria, Tanner, Mikayla, Morgan (Connor), and Abigail; numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings, Alice Houseman, Margaret Stewart, Dora Warner, and Kenneth Mick. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heritage Memorial Church with Pastors Phil Spriggs and Joy Stanforth officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday evening from 4-7:00 p.m. and again on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
