ERMA JOYCE TUSSEY, age 84, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at her home. She was born on June 20, 1931 in Carter County, Kentucky to Leslie and Maggie Bays Erwin. She had worked at Greenfield Research for more than 30 years. She loved her Lord and was a member of the New Martinsburg Baptist Church. She loved cooking, spending time with her family and friends and also loved her cats. Erma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl Tussey, sisters Ruby James and Doris Tussey, brothers Steve, Quentin and Chester Erwin. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, John and Dee Tussey; grandchildren Heather (Joe) Camp and Rob Tussey; great-grandchildren Kennedy, Jackson, Reagan, Blake, Joel and Chase; sisters Inez Wilcox of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Arlene Justice of Port Charlotte, Florida and Gladys Boynton of Brunswick, Georgia as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins; very special friends the Bennett and Knorr families and caregiver, Christy Lynch. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Silveous officiating. The graveside service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Erwin Cemetery in Carter County, Kentucky.
