FRANCES M. STARKEY, age 93, of Washington CH, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 5:45 a.m. at the St. Catherine's Manor. She was born on September 27, 1921 in Williamsport to Ernest and Marie Crago Martindill. She had worked at the G.C. Murphy Store for many years. She was a member of the South Side Church of Christ, the Loyal Disciple Sunday School Class, the Eastern Star and the Fayette County Commission on Aging. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and loved spending time with all of her family. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Rita Kay, siblings Alvin, Russell, Glen and Thomas Martindill, Helen Haines and Margaret Rohrer. Survivors include her husband Charles "Chuck" Starkey, whom she married on July 8, 1956; her children Beverly (Ronald) Dawson, Terry (Sandy) Starkey and Bonnie (Greg) Blumenthal; grandchildren Tami, Kami, Jeff and David Dawson, Michael Starkey, Vickie Brown, Chad Starkey, Jeremy Baldridge, Tara Dai and Patty Horton; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Eugene Martindill, Clarice Black, Fay Belle Grigsbee, Louise Landrum, Wanda Harlan and Patty Gaines as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the South Side Church of Christ with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. An Eastern Star service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to South Side Church or the Loyal Disciple Sunday School Class, 921 S.
