FRANK L. BREEDLOVE PhD, passed peacefully at age 90 on Monday, November 25, 2024. Frank was born in Clark County, Ohio on January 13, 1934 to the late Frank R. & Gwendolyn (Smart) Breedlove Collier.
In early life, Frank managed a small family dairy farm with his sister before his 1952 graduation from Enon High School in Clark County. He attended The Ohio State University receiving undergraduate and graduate degrees in Agriculture Education. His high school teaching career began at Paint Valley High School and continued at Miami Trace High School as a vocational agriculture instructor and FFA advisor. He then worked in supervision at the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School, then returning to teach at Miami Trace after earning his doctorate degree and becoming fondly known as "Doc" to his students. Later Frank worked in supervision for Great Oaks Institute of Technology.
While working as a teacher, Frank served as Supervisor of the Jr. Fair Exhibit at the Fayette County Fair and the Ohio State Fair and served as a cooperating instructor with OSU assisting in the training of student teachers in ag education. He received honors as 1983 Ohio's Vocational Agriculture Teacher of the Year, 1984 National Vocational Teachers Association Teacher of the Year, and earned an
Honorary American FFA degree as well as other 4-H Club and FFA awards. He was selected a Martha Holden Jennings Scholar, Greenon (consolidated) HS Hall of Fame member, and honored as a member of the Fayette County Agricultural Hall of Fame.
Frank also served his communities as a 60-year member of Masonic Lodge #196 in Bainbridge, Scottish Rite Freemason (32nd degree), president of the Fayette County EMS board, a Red Cross Board member, and enthusiastically coached Little League baseball while living in Ashtabula County. In retirement, he especially enjoyed 15 years of serving and sharing stories as a "Red Coat" usher at OSU athletic and entertainment events.
Frank is survived by his wife of 66 years Karma Kay (Knox) Breedlove, their five children Sheri Breedlove

Breedlove, & Linda (Joe) Rodgers all of Washington CH, OH, his sister Janet (Breedlove) Ebersole of Clark
Co., grandchildren Jeff (Diana) Clark of Greenfield, IN, Katie (Chris) Creasap of Indianapolis, IN, Warren (Fiancé DeAnn Radcliff) Breedlove of Grove City, OH, Nathanael Rodgers of Washington CH, and great-grandchildren Levi, Everett, & River Clark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Miami Trace FFA Alumni in c/o Robin Beekman, 6 E. High St., Jeffersonville, OH 43128.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church (301 E. Market St., Washington CH, OH 43160) with Pastor Matt Brookes officiating with burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Family and friends may visit at the church on Monday evening from 4-7:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service to follow.
