FRED HENRY FLEAK, age 78, of Bloomingburg, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 9:07 p.m. at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on December 30, 1939 in Clermont County to Agnes Fleak. He was a 1958 graduate of Little Miami High School in Morrow, Ohio. Fred owned and operated Fleak Farm Drainage which he started in 1979. He was a long time member of the Christ Victory Church in Bloomingburg. Fred was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed going to Church, fishing in Florida, working, and being with his family.

Fred was preceded in death by his mother; his daughter, Deborah Fleak; and his brother, Donald Applegate.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Bennington Fleak, whom he married on February 19, 1962; his children, Larry Dean (Marva) Fleak, Jerry (Robin) Fleak, Donnie (Tonya) Fleak, Amy Foster, Mary (Steve) Lemaster, Eric (Angela) Fleak, and Larry James (Amber) Fleak; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Bill (Wanda) Applegate, Ruth (Larry) Wilson, Charlie (Anna Jo) Applegate, Tim (Tina) Bechmann, Anita Bechmann, Dorothy (Ray) Coffey, and Barbara (Dickey) Brown; sisters-in-law, Shirley Speakman, and Mary Ann Cockerill; and brother-in-law, Robert Mitchell. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Victory Church, 26 Bowers St., Bloomingburg, OH 43106, with Rev. Richard "Creed" Thomas officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Wednesday evening from 4-8:00 p.m.
