GAIL W. MERSHON, age 93, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 10:40 p.m. at the Ohio State Wexner Zusman Hospice. He was born on July 21, 1921 in Washington CH to Ray and Laura Gosney Mershon. He was a Washington High School graduate. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII, serving in Africa, Italy and France. He owned and operated Fayette Auto Parts and after his retirement, worked for French's Hardware and Doug Marine Motors. He had been a 68 year member of the F&AM Fayette Lodge #107, he loved square dancing, camping and traveling. Gail was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 72 years, Mona Post Mershon and son-in-law Larry Lehman. Survivors include his children Barry Mershon and Karen Mershon Lehman; grandchildren Laura Lehman-Jenkins and Scott Lehman; great-grandson Leo Jenkins. The graveside committal service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the Washington Cemetery with Mell Wickenseimer officiating.
