GARY M. FOUNTAIN, age 69, of Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 2:19 p.m. at his home.

He was born on January 4, 1948 in Franklin County to Robert and Virginia Brooks Fountain. He was a 1966 graduate of Miami Trace High School. He then received his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Bliss College. He had retired from WORLDPAC in Columbus. Gary proudly served his country in the Ohio National Guard. He had been a member of the Madison Mills United Methodist Church. Gary enjoyed golfing, fishing, and being with his family. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and also a "sad" Cleveland Brown's fan.

Gary was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Virginia Fountain; his children, Amy Fountain and her fiancé, Mike Sheerin, and Emily Stewart; grandchildren, Logan Smith, and Rylie Stewart; sister, Dee (John) Tussey. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Zimmerman officiating with burial to follow at the Madison Mills Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Madison Mills United Methodist Church, 9100 Madison Rd.
