GEORGE ERVIN HUFFMAN, age 92, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2025 after a brief stay at Copper Knoll Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on July 31, 1932 in Fayette County to the late Floyd and Beryl (Parker) Huffman. He was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School. George retired from Armco Steel after thirty-eight years of service. He was a lifelong member of Heritage Memorial Church. He enjoyed farming, going to church, and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine Huffman, whom he married on August 12, 1950, and sister, Dorothy Sears.

Survivors include his children, Doug (Paula) Huffman, Gary (Fran) Huffman, and Karen (John) Justus; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Binegar. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating with burial to follow at the White Oak Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
