GERALD WILLIAM"GERRY" DOOLITTLE, age 91, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Signature HealthCare of Fayette County.

He was born on June 11, 1930 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Ilow and Marguerite (Thomas) Doolittle. After high-school, Gerry proudly joined and served his country in the US Army. After receiving an honorable discharge, Gerry attended college at Western Michigan University where he obtained a Master's Degree in Education. His family described him as the "jack of all trades." He enjoyed studying the Bible, drawing, painting, being with his family and was an avid Ohio State fan.

Gerry was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife and mother of his children, Myrna D. (Woolf) Doolittle; daughter, Cheryl L. Wilson; and siblings, Arlene Wheelan, Jane Meadows, and James "Jim" Doolittle.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn L. (Howland) Doolittle, whom he married on April 17, 1999; children, Linda M. (Jim) Horton, Sandra B. (Dr. Mark) Burkett, Paul A. (Cindy) Doolittle, and Mark E. (Debra) Doolittle; step-children, Denise E. (Tim) Rhodes, and Thomas W. Coder; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ronald (Rita) Doolittle. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of special friends.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services.
