GRACE K. HAYS, age 71, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 8:29 a.m. at her home. She was born on October 25, 1944 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Martin and Carrie Miller Ralston. She was a graduate of Huntington High School. She had worked as a clerk at the Naval Department at the Pentagon. She enjoyed caring for people, enjoyed volunteering at the election polls, and an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Robert Miller, Virginia "Ginny" Pfeifer, Kenneth "Dutch" Ralston, Doris Reese and William Ralston. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Hays, whom she married on November 6, 1965; her son, Tom Hays; grandchildren, Eleni (Matt) Hummel and their son Grayson, Elexa, Hayden and Averi Hays; brothers Clyde Ralston, Richard (Jackie) Ralston, and Georgia Pate as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating and burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery.
