HELEN LUCILLE HESS, age 79, of Sabina, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Miami Valley Hospital as the result of an accident. She was born on June 3, 1937 in Sinking Springs, Ohio to Wilbur and Wilma Ferrell Huffman. She was a 1955 graduate of Martinsville High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, flowers, reading, and loved spending time with her family. Helen was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Randy and Sonny. Survivors include her husband, Donald Hess, whom she married on October 6, 1956; her children, Vonnie Huff, Kenny (Clarissa) Hess, Kerry (Kim) Hess and Kevin Hess; grandchildren, Bradley Hess, Patricia Lyman and Jesse Huff; step-grandchildren, Ira, Martin and Alycea Graham; siblings, Jean, Arlene, Karen, Bob, Donnie, Paul, Keith, Rick, Barbara, Janie, Tim, and Shirley as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bible Baptist Temple, 4361 SR 41 NW, with Andrew Johnson officiating.
