H. DARLENE SOUTHER, age 72, of Bloomingburg, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 9:04 p.m. at her home where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 25, 1943 in Fayette County, to Fred and Daisy McCoy Estle. She enjoyed gardening, working puzzles, cooking and spending time with her family. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Delbert E. Souther, as well as seven siblings. Survivors include her children, Melody (Bill) Hay, Kevin (Mary) Leisure, and Paula Leisure; grandchildren, Ronnie Leach Jr., April Mitchell, Brian Hay, Brad Hay, Kelly Hay, and Tiara Leisure; great-grandchildren, Rowdy, Madison, and Ellie Hay; siblings, Bill (Maria) Estle, Emily Bailey, Clyde (Mary) Estle, and Vickie Bennett; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends as well as her canine companion, Mercy. A graveside committal service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Good Hope Cemetery with Jason Yoakum officiating. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no viewing.
