HERBERT LEE PAUL, age 78, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at his home. He was born on April 26, 1938 in Fayette County to Herbert C. and Stella Coder Paul. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He later retired from the American Tool Company of Wilmington. He was a member of the Center United Methodist Church and the Fayette County Commission on Aging. He enjoyed watching Cincinnati Reds, TV Westerns, cooking, loved animals and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Jean Lightle Paul, whom he married on July 4, 1980; his children, Adam (Tannya) Lightle and Jason Paul; grandchildren, Aaron, Jonathon, Cheyanne, Camron, Gabrial, and McKenzie; great-grandson, Connor; siblings, Alice (J.L.) Williams, Katie (Ron) Williams, Irene Coonrod, Nellie Sandell, and Jerry (Sue) Paul as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Tom Payton officiating with burial to follow at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery.
