HUBERT W. WATSON, age 84, of Washington CH, was called home to be with the Lord, on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10:34 p.m. at Court House Manor Nursing Home, after a lengthy battle with heart disease. He was born on October 7, 1930 in Fayette County to Floyd "Hays" and Everetta Brown Watson. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was an assistant crew chief on the world's largest bomber, the B-36. Also, he checked President Eisenhower's plane each day when he visited the base. Hubert had sold real estate and was a state champion auctioneer, and was well known for his lifelong love and training of horses. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and cherished spending time with his family. Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 58 years, Helen L. Watson, his granddaughter, Tiffany Watson Guinen and brothers, Jack and Kenneth Watson. Survivors include his children, Larry Watson, Garry (Sharon) Watson, Rick (Mary Jane) Watson, Rita Potter and Pam Watson; grandchildren Regina Lewis, Jackie Wood, Clint Sharp, Brittany (Derek) Shull, William Hockett and Zayne Watson; nine great-grandchildren and brother, Bob Watson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery.
